ACCESIBLE EU

Accessibility and measures to support participation

EFT2026 – an event designed around accessibility for all, with the support of AccessibleEU

At Enterprising for Tomorrow 2026, we strive to ensure that participation is as open, safe, and comfortable as possible for all. We are committed to providing accessible participation conditions for individuals with diverse needs, taking into account the available space, the event format, and the resources that can be ensured.

For us, accessibility is not a minor aspect, but a key component of the event experience.

Accessibility of the venue

The event venue provides physical accessibility conditions for participants who require additional support.

There is a spacious parking area with over 250 spaces, and parking is available right at the building entrance, approximately 5 meters from access.

The building entrance is accessible, with no thresholds.

There is an elevator between the ground floor and the upper floor, located near the adapted restroom on the ground floor.

Between the elevator and the main hall, there are four steps; however, these are equipped with an electric ramp.

The main hall has no thresholds, pillars, or other obstacles and allows easy movement throughout the entire space.

The first three rows will be reserved for persons with disabilities and arranged accordingly.

Accessible sanitary facilities

The accessible sanitary facility is located on the ground floor, in close proximity to the elevator, ensuring ease of use throughout the duration of the event.

Accessibility for individuals with hearing impairments

Throughout the conference, a Romanian Sign Language interpreter will be provided.

All speakers will use microphones, and the event will include live captioning.

Furthermore, visual content will be projected on a large main screen (14 meters) to support accessibility and facilitate the follow-up of presentations.

Accessibility for individuals with visual impairments

Upon request, volunteers can provide assistance with orientation and mobility within the event space. The venue is open and free of major obstacles, and participants may be accompanied by support persons or guide dogs.

Accessibility for neurodivergent individuals and those with sensory sensitivities

The event programme is structured to include regular breaks.

A designated quiet room, clearly signposted, will be available for neurodivergent individuals, people experiencing anxiety, or anyone requiring a sensory break.

Participants are free to leave and re-enter the main room at any time, without restrictions.

Information regarding video content and sensory stimuli

During the event, presentations by speakers and video materials showcasing initiatives, businesses, and projects will be displayed.

Some materials may include strong visual contrasts, rapid transitions, dynamic effects, and occasional flashing effects.

At certain moments, the music volume may be elevated. For participants sensitive to visual or auditory stimuli, the front rows reserved for persons with disabilities provide both good visibility and easy access for exiting the room if needed.

Participants may also use earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones, and the quiet room will remain available throughout the duration of the event.

Remote participation

For individuals who are unable to attend the event in person, an option for online participation is available via registration on the event platform. The draft programme also includes provisions for making the recording available.
